‘Family, Community & You’
Hillview Resource Centre
Aims to provide developmental family support services, which involves a range of wraparound referral and collaborative activities to support the welfare and protection of children & young people and Ireland’s diverse composition of family units. The local implementation model is called ‘Prevention Partnership & Family Support’ (PPFS).
Supports
Meitheal is an integrated local implementation model which brings the family and organisations together through a system of local area networks (pathways) in order to support children, young people, and their families in a seamless and collaborative way.
Hillview provides a range of advice and support for families, including low-cost counselling, play therapy & psychotherapy.
Rainbows is a peer support for children (aged 7-12 years) living with parental separation & bereavement.
Our approach to child & family support is based on the child’s environment and extends to the child’s whole world in terms of looking at enhancing their experience within it through parents, siblings, grandparents, and the wider community.
Hillview is a member of the National Family Resource Centre Network of Ireland and participates at local, regional and national levels to deliver enhanced supports to the community, children, young people and families. Finally we link in with the Children & Young People’s Services Committee (CYPSC) where possible.
